Circles has one of the most quoted basslines in drum and bass, and Colours around it made the unlikely case that the genre could carry jazz fusion without embarrassment. Adam Fenton played keys, came from a musical family, and arrived at a moment when almost everyone else in the scene was working with hardware and menace.
