Why it's here

Recorded live on a Reykjavik church organ and then corroded through tape and digital processing, Ravedeath, 1972 turns a single sound source into vast, physically overwhelming waves of noise and decay. Its sculptural sense of scale and destruction gives drone composition a rare cinematic, almost geological weight.
