Mbuki Mvuki

Mbuki Mvuki is Black Dog's melodists stepping out early, warmer than anything on Warp that year, Plaid before Plaid was quite Plaid. It's a record full of the melodic warmth the pair would later be known for, arriving before they'd fully separated from the trio, and it glows in a way the more austere Black Dog work didn't. It ranks at a hundred and sixty-three because it's an early, slightly unformed statement, but the melodic gift is already fully present.
