Solaris catches Photek turning away from the surgical drum-and-bass precision that made his name, and his sense of structure survives it. 'Terminus' opens a record made by somebody who had decided the previous method was finished. Broken beat, ambient space and slower rhythms replace much of the old pressure. But the arrangements remain exact enough that even the drift feels deliberate.
