Pearson Sound is Hessle rhythm stripped of any urge to pose for a photograph. 'Six Congas' is the plainest description of a track anyone has written. The engineering is taut, but the real personality sits in how the grooves keep changing their mind, tightening, slipping, then finding a new pocket before the previous one has settled.
