Ask the Dust turns dark instrumental beatwork into something cinematic and inward. Lorn's low end and shadowed textures carry the record and ask nothing of club function, giving the music a brooding physicality even at its most static. 'Ghosst' arrives second and 'Ghosst(s)' closes the album, the same figure returning with company.
