The Idiots Are Winning catches James Holden at the point where progressive house starts mutating into something stranger: psychedelic synth movement, elastic rhythm and long builds that refuse the genre's usual clean payoff. The tracks still work on a floor, but they keep bending the architecture until club function and art-electronic abstraction become hard to separate. There is a track called 'Intentionally Left Blank' that runs two minutes and is not blank.
