The Centre Cannot Hold turns Ben Frost's industrial-noise language into something almost tectonic. 'A Single Hellfire Missile Costs $100,000 USD' lasts twelve seconds. That is roughly how long the thought needs. Steve Albini's recording captures the impact raw and physical. But it is more than a volume exercise: distortion, pressure and silence are arranged with enough dramatic shape that the violence keeps changing meaning.
