Front 242 built something relentless and danceable that ran a direct line into Belgian new beat and then into R&S and rave itself, which is why it's here rather than filed with industrial. It ranks at a hundred and forty-four because on this list it's a bloodline record, but 'Headhunter' still detonates, and the lineage is real.
