Peacefrog's Ohio machine-soul; criminally overlooked

Ohio answers Detroit with warmth instead of imitation on The Silicon Dawn. Dan Curtin borrows the grammar and not the accent: melody, machine soul, patient movement. The record feels connected to Detroit because it understands what made the language expressive in the first place. Obscure where it should be known; the craft holds up beautifully.
