Musique Concrete is liquid drum & bass with its elbows off the table. Calibre sets soft chords, rolling bass and quick breaks side by side and none of them crowds the others. The ease is the point: nothing strains for transcendence, nothing trips over the furniture. One track is called 'Untitled' and another 'Sax Track'. That tells you how much Calibre cared about presentation.

Set the standard for liquid and he has out-written most of the genre since. The catalogue is the achievement more than any one record.
