Paul Frankland built tracks from jungle rain, shortwave fragments and half-heard voices, released very little, and then disappeared for years. Woob 1194 is deep ambient that tells stories rather than setting moods, which is the harder job. A cult record that earns its cult, and one that reissue culture has treated well.
