Not an artist but the label whose 1992 Artificial Intelligence compilation named a movement: electronic music for armchairs as well as warehouses. Steve Beckett, Rob Mitchell and Robert Gordon started it in a Sheffield record shop, released the bleep records that built the city's sound, then signed Aphex Twin, Autechre, Boards of Canada and Squarepusher.
