Peter Kuhlmann founded FAX +49-69/450464 and released more deep-listening music than seems physically possible, much of it in tiny numbered editions. He collaborated with Klaus Schulze, Bill Laswell, Mixmaster Morris and Tetsu Inoue, treating ambient as an ongoing correspondence between musicians. He died in 2012 and collectors are still mapping the catalogue.
