Ali Wells put British industrial techno back on the map and gave it a political spine while he was at it, running Perc Trax and pulling metal and noise vocabularies into a techno frame. Wicker & Steel is grey-skies hardware music with genuine anger in it rather than the pose most of the style settles for.
