Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys wrote pop songs about Joan of Arc and telephone boxes, sold millions, and then made an album about ships and shortwave radio that ended their commercial run overnight. Architecture & Morality is the perfect one and Dazzle Ships is the brave one, and the second has aged into the more interesting record.
