Belgian, cinematic and entirely unembarrassed about melody at a moment when Bristol treated a good tune as a confession of weakness. A New Stereophonic Sound Spectacular came out in 1996 and got filed as trip-hop by people who had not listened past the tempo. It has aged better than most of the second wave.
