Dan Snaith started this around 2011 to release the raw loop-driven material that would never fit a Caribou album, and runs the label himself to put it out. Jiaolong swings harder than anything else in his catalogue. It sounds like a record made by somebody who DJs because he wants to rather than because the tour requires it.
