Nick Bracegirdle made Balearic trance as an album at a moment when everyone around him was making singles with builds in them. Far from the Maddening Crowds has Offshore on it and a great deal else that is patient, warm and quietly sad. It is not what anyone expected from this corner of the genre and it is the reason the record lasted.
