More than anyone, his sets defined how the rest of the world came to hear Berlin techno. He has been part of Berghain's core since the mid-2000s and runs Klockworks with the same granite aesthetic as the room. One got that sound onto record while the club was still a place rather than a brand, which is exactly why it holds up.
