Born in Tehran, raised in Stockholm, and somehow the most convincing Detroit melodist working outside Michigan in the late nineties. Deeparture in Time was picked up by Derrick May's Transmat, which is about as close to a papal blessing as that city hands out. Groove La Chord remains the calling card: machine music with real longing in it.
