Dego and Marc Mac ran Reinforced out of Dollis Hill, gave Goldie his first release, and then went and made Parallel Universe, which put string arrangements over breakbeat science without softening a single drum. Two Pages followed with even more ambition and slightly less discipline. Their real monument is arguably the label, which built two careers besides their own.
