Weatherall and Tenniswood submerged; the coldest thing either made
Weatherall and Tenniswood make Stay Down feel half-submerged, stripping the music to dub space, chill and long stretches where resolution never quite arrives. The gaps stay open long enough for the room around the sounds to become part of the record. The withdrawal is deliberate and it is the point. It repays the patience it demands.
№ 13 on The 10 Best Electro Albums
Weatherall and Tenniswood at crush depth. Dubbed-out electro made by people uninterested in trading on a reputation.
