Stay Down

Stay Down is Weatherall and Tenniswood submerged, the coldest thing either made, Two Lone Swordsmen going deep into electro and dub techno. It's a record of genuine chill and restraint, the pair stripping their sound back to something austere and hypnotic, and it's better than its relative obscurity suggests. It ranks at a hundred and fifty-two because it's a deliberately withdrawn record, but the withdrawal is the point, and it rewards the patience it demands.
