Passion turns Demdike Stare's hauntological language toward club music and leaves the degradation in place that gives it character. Samples feel worn, rhythms half-buried and atmosphere slightly unstable, linking the duo's Modern Love aesthetic to the more haunted edge of experimental club. 'You People Are Fucked' sits sixth of nine and is the one that stopped being hauntological and started being a club track.
